tsp - Garam Masala powder consisting (3 hari Elaichi(green cardamom), 1stick Dalchini (cinnamon) and 1tsp Shah Zeera (carraway seeds) only)
Salt to Taste

Steps:
] In a large pressure cooker make dopyaaza ( by easy cooker method) by adding, onions, ginger garlic paste, oil, powdered masala (except Garam Masala), green chillies and little water. see below

] Mix well and set in over high flame

] Put on the lid and pressure cook the dish for 1-2 whistle till your onions are tender.

] After 2 whistle your dopyaaza base will look like this.  This is a simple dopyaaza and very quick to make unlike the traditional way of frying and broiling the onions to get the base.

] Cut bottle gourd diagonally, chop tomatoes and cut the raw mango in small cubes.

] Add tomatoes and stir fry (bhuna fry) for 5 minutes.

] Now add in the Raw mango and Salt, continue to stir fry for 5 more minutes.

] Boil Channa Dal (bengal gram) seperately until well done.

] Now add the bottle gourd to the dopyaaza stir fry masala base in pressure cooker.

] Stir well until nicely mixed in the masala.

] Cover the lid of cooker and pressure cook it for 1 whistle only (depending how tender is the Bottle Gourd)

] Now remove the lid and check for seasonings
] Now add Boiled Channa Dal into the bottle gourd gravy along with corriander powder and Garam Masala Powder.

] Continue cooking until the gravy is just done. Adjust salt and water accordingly.

] Your Kaddu Chane ki Daal ka Saalan is ready to eat .  Serve it with Phulka or Plain rice with a dash of lemon pickle.

ENJOY!
